About Us
Tres Miquiztli Brand
Clothing and accessories that connects you to your ancestral roots
Welcome to Tres Miquiztli Brand — where culture, art, and identity meet. Born from a deep love for Mesoamerican heritage, our brand celebrates stories, symbols, and meaning through wearable art.
Our Story
Founded by artists Maru & Marcial, Tres Miquiztli emerged from a desire to bring small but significant pieces of Mexico to your wardrobe. Both born and raised south of the border, they now live in the United States and fuse ancestral designs with modern craftsmanship to empower cultural pride.
Most of our pieces (about 70%) are designed and crafted by hand — from concept to stitch, our art is authentic and intentional.
Our Mission
We believe that wearing culture can be more than fashion—it’s connection. Tres Miquiztli Brand aims to:
-
Honor ancestral roots through designs inspired by Aztec symbols like eagles, skulls, and deities.
-
Empower Xicana and Indigenous voices through visual storytelling, reclaiming our narrative in a mainstream world.
-
Offer premium-quality apparel and accessories that spark cultural pride and conversation.
Why “Miquiztli”?
In Nahuatl, miquiztli means “death,” representing transformation, endings, and new beginnings. Our work transforms memory into art—each piece carries the spirit of our ancestors.
What We Offer
From graphic shirts and hats to apparel and aprons, every piece is thoughtfully curated. Great for everyday wear or gifting to someone grounded in heritage.
-
Shirts — Bold pictorial tees like “Xicana” and “Guerrera”
-
Hats & Accessories — Featuring Aztec eagle, warrior, and serpent designs in sculptural embroidery
Our Community
We stand with the many who reclaim lost names and stories erased by colonization. Through our art, we amplify Indigenous voices and celebrate identity: “They renamed us, erased our stories… but now, we’re reclaiming our narrative.”
